The Ghorepani Poon Hill Ghandruk Trek, nestled in the Annapurna region of Nepal, promises a captivating adventure through some of the world's most awe-inspiring landscapes. Over the course of 5 to 7 days, trekkers embark on a journey filled with breathtaking vistas, cultural immersion, and moderate challenges. The trek's include the enchanting sunrise spectacle from Poon Hill, where the panoramic views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges leave visitors spellbound. Trekking through verdant rhododendron forests, vibrant with colour during the spring season, adds a touch of natural splendour to the experience. Along the trail, encounters with welcoming locals in villages like Ghorepani and Ghandruk offer insights into traditional Gurung culture and hospitality.
Begin your science journey from Kathmandu to Pokhara by Comfortable Bus. After 7-8 Hours you will reach Pokhara, a vibrant city known for its stunning lakes and breathtaking views of the Annapurna range. As you traverse the Prithvi Highway, you'll pass through picturesque countryside, terraced fields, and traditional Nepali villages. En route, soak in the beauty of the Trishuli River and lush green hillsides. Arrive in Pokhara, where the serene Phewa Lake and the majestic Annapurna peaks welcome you.

After a leisurely breakfast in Pokhara, start on a scenic drive to Tikhedhunga, the starting point of your trek. The drive takes approximately 2.5 hours. From Tikhedhunga, begin your trek towards Ulleri, a charming Magar village situated at an altitude of around 2,070 metres. The trail initially meanders through terraced fields and lush forests before ascending steeply to Ulleri. Upon reaching Ulleri, take a break to rest and recharge before continuing your trek to Ghorepani.
The trek from Ulleri to Ghorepani is approximately 9 kilometres long and takes around 5-6 hours to complete. As you ascend through dense rhododendron forests, enjoy breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. Arrive in Ghorepani, situated at an altitude of around 2,850 metres, and check into your tea house for a well-deserved rest.

Wake up before dawn to embark on a magical hike to Poon Hill, one of the best vantage points in the Annapurna region to witness the sunrise. The hike to Poon Hill takes approximately 45 minutes and rewards you with panoramic views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountain ranges bathed in golden sunlight. After capturing unforgettable sunrise views, descend back to Ghorepani for breakfast. Then, continue your trek to Thadapani, a picturesque village nestled amidst rhododendron forests at an altitude of around 2,610 metres. The trekking distance from Ghorepani to Thadapani is approximately 12 kilometres and takes around 6-7 hours to complete. As you traverse the trail, enjoy the tranquil beauty of the forests and keep an eye out for native wildlife. Upon reaching Thadapani, settle into your tea house and relax as you soak in the serene mountain atmosphere.

After breakfast, set out on the trek from Thadapani to Ghandruk, a traditional Gurung village known for its rich culture and stunning mountain views. The trekking distance from Thadapani to Ghandruk is approximately 8 kilometres and takes around 4-5 hours to complete. The trail descends through lush forests and terraced fields, offering glimpses of the towering peaks of the Annapurna range. Arrive in Ghandruk, situated at an altitude of around 1,940 metres, and take some time to explore the village. Visit the local museum to learn about Gurung culture and tradition, and immerse yourself in the warm hospitality of the local community. Spend the night in Ghandruk, enjoying traditional Gurung cuisine and reflecting on the experiences of your trek.

Overnightat: Standard Hotel in Ghandruk Village
Bid farewell to Ghandruk as you embark on the scenic drive back to Pokhara. The drive takes approximately 3-4 hours and offers stunning views of the Himalayan landscape along the way. Upon arrival in Pokhara, check into your hotel and spend the rest of the day relaxing and exploring the city. You may choose to visit some of Pokhara's popular attractions, such as the Devi's Fall, Gupteshwor Cave, or the Tibetan Refugee Camp. Alternatively, simply unwind by the lakeside and soak in the peaceful atmosphere of Pokhara.

Today, we will drive back to Kathmandu. It will take about 7-8 hours, an overland journey by tourist coach. And the gentle light brings us on our way back to the bustle of Nepal’s capital.
