Itinerary

Day 1

Your adventure begins with a warm Nepali welcome at Tribhuvan International Airport. After being transferred to your comfortable boutique hotel in the vibrant Thamel district, you can rest and recover from your journey. In the evening, a gentle orientation walk introduces you to the bustling energy of Kathmandu, followed by an introduction to your guide and an overview of the incredible journey ahead.

Day 2

Immerse yourself in the spiritual and cultural heart of Nepal on a full-day guided tour. You'll visit the ancient Swayambhunath Stupa, perched atop a hill and alive with playful monkeys, before experiencing the serene magnitude of Boudhanath, one of the largest stupas in the world. The sacred atmosphere of Pashupatinath Temple's cremation ghats offers a profound cultural insight, while the exquisite Newar architecture of Patan Durbar Square showcases the region's royal history and artistic mastery.

Day 3

Leaving the city behind, a scenic 4-5 hour drive winds down into the lush Terai foothills. You'll arrive at the serene Jungle Mahal Wellness Retreat, a hidden sanctuary surrounded by tranquil forest. The day is designed for you to decompress, settling into the peaceful rhythm of nature before a welcome circle and grounding meditation session in the evening.

Day 4

These two days are dedicated to deep relaxation and rejuvenation. Your mornings begin with sunrise yoga and pranayama sessions held in nature, followed by guided forest bathing and mindful walks. You can opt for an Ayurvedic consultation, indulge in a spa therapy, or participate in sound healing workshops. For a touch of local culture, an optional community walk to a nearby Tharu village is available, with evenings spent in group reflection around a cozy bonfire.

Day 6

The Himalayan phase of your journey begins with a spectacular 6-hour drive through rolling hills and valleys, leading you to the trailhead village of Dhap. Here, at 2,850 meters, you'll feel the crisp mountain air and get your first true taste of the Himalayas. After settling into a local teahouse, a gentle acclimatization walk offers a beautiful sunset over the rolling ridges.

Day 7

Your first day on the trail is a beautiful 5-6 hour walk through forested ridges and open yak pastures. The trail climbs gradually, treating you to stunning views of the Numbur Himal and the distant Everest range. You'll arrive in the small, welcoming Sherpa village of Jhapre, where you'll experience warm local hospitality at your teahouse for the night.

Day 8

For three profound days, you'll become part of the community near Jhapre through a volunteering project at Dhukure Primary School. This is a chance to make a genuine impact by assisting local teachers with English or creative lessons, organizing mindfulness sessions for the children, or helping with a light renovation project. This authentic immersion allows for deep cultural exchange and connection, with evenings spent reflecting on the day's experiences.

Day 11

The trail ascends gradually today through enchanting rhododendron and juniper forests on a 5-6 hour trek. As you walk along panoramic ridges, the air grows crisper and the sense of peace deepens. You'll spend the night at a teahouse at Base Camp, resting up for the early morning climb that awaits.

Day 12

An early start is rewarded with one of the Himalayas' most spectacular sights. You'll climb to the summit of Pikey Peak (4,065m) in time for a breathtaking sunrise that paints the sky in brilliant colors, offering a 360-degree panorama of giants like Everest, Kanchenjunga, and Makalu. After descending, you'll trek on to Junbeshi and then to the Thubten Choling Monastery for a unique overnight stay and evening chanting with the monks.

Day 13

Spend a full day immersed in the spiritual life of Thubten Choling, one of the oldest schools of Tibetan Buddhism. You'll have the rare opportunity to interact with the nearly 400 monks who reside here, learn about Buddhist philosophy and meditation practices, and participate in the daily rhythm of monastic life, gaining a deep understanding of this peaceful tradition.

Day 14

A scenic journey of 7-8 hours along the rim of the Kathmandu Valley brings you to the sacred pilgrimage site of Namobuddha. You'll arrive at the stunning Thrangu Tashi Yangtse Monastery, where you'll check into the guesthouse. The day concludes with the powerful and mesmerizing experience of attending the evening chanting ceremony with the monks.

Day 15

After a peaceful breakfast at the monastery, you'll begin the short 2-3 hour drive back to Kathmandu. The afternoon is free for last-minute exploration or relaxation before the group reconvenes for a special farewell dinner in the city, celebrating the incredible shared experiences of the past two weeks.

Day 16

Your transformative journey in Nepal concludes today. As per your flight schedule, a member of our team will transfer you to the airport, ensuring you depart with cherished memories and a profound connection to the Himalayas.
