Itinerary

Day 1

Today, we start our journey on a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara, a journey that will take approximately 8-9 hours. As we leave the bustling city, you'll notice the landscape gradually transforming from urban to natural beauty. The drive follows the Trisuli River, where you might catch glimpses of adventurous rafters navigating the rapids. Along the route, the lush green hills and terraced fields provide a picturesque backdrop. As we approach Pokhara, the scenery becomes even more captivating, with views of the majestic Dhaulagiri and Annapurna mountain ranges coming into sight. Pokhara, known for its serene lake and vibrant atmosphere, offers a perfect place to unwind after a long journey. You’ll have time to explore the lakeside area, enjoy a leisurely stroll, and perhaps do some last-minute shopping for your trek.

Day 2

This morning, we drive from Pokhara to the charming village of Ghandruk, which takes us through beautiful landscapes and traditional villages. Ghandruk is renowned for its stunning views and the warm hospitality of the Gurung people. After arriving in Ghandruk, we begin our trek to Tadapani. The trail leads us through dense rhododendron forests, where vibrant flowers and lush greenery create a captivating environment. As we trek, we’ll be rewarded with panoramic views of the Annapurna range, including Annapurna South and Machhapuchhre (Fishtail). The trek offers an immersive experience in the natural beauty of the region. Upon reaching Tadapani, we’ll stay in a cozy tea house, where you can relax and enjoy traditional Nepalese cuisine.

Day 3

Today’s trek takes us from Tadapani to Dobato, providing us with some of the most breathtaking views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountain ranges. The trail meanders through lush forests and past stunning waterfalls and streams. As we climb higher, the landscape becomes more rugged and dramatic. Dobato, perched at a higher elevation, offers spectacular vantage points for watching the sunset and sunrise. The clear skies and serene surroundings make Dobato a magical place to experience the natural beauty of the Himalayas. After a day of trekking, we will stay in a welcoming tea house where you can enjoy the tranquility of the mountains.

Day 4

Our trek today leads us from Dobato to Chistibang, a journey filled with stunning mountain vistas and serene forest scenery. As we walk, we’ll traverse through dense forests and enjoy the peaceful ambiance of the area. The trek to Chistibang offers opportunities to spot rare wildlife such as the Himalayan tahr and various bird species. The tranquil environment and panoramic views make this part of the trek especially enjoyable. Chistibang’s natural beauty provides a perfect setting for relaxing after a day of trekking. We will stay overnight in a comfortable tea house, where you can reflect on the day’s experiences.

Day 5

Today’s trek takes us from Chistibang to Khopra, an elevation of 3,660 meters. The trail offers panoramic views of the surrounding mountains as we walk along a scenic ridge. We’ll pass by several beautiful waterfalls, cross suspension bridges, and traverse meadows that add to the trek’s charm. Khopra, situated on a ridge, provides awe-inspiring views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. After reaching Khopra, you can enjoy the serene atmosphere and spectacular scenery. We will spend the night in a tea house, soaking in the natural beauty of the area.

Day 6

Today’s trek takes us to Khayer Lake, the highest point of our journey at 4,660 meters. The hike to the lake is challenging but rewarding, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding peaks. The lake itself is a serene and picturesque spot, perfect for taking a moment to appreciate the natural beauty of the Himalayas. After spending some time at the lake, we will descend back to Khopra. This round-trip trek offers a sense of accomplishment and an unforgettable experience in one of the most beautiful parts of the Annapurna region. We’ll return to our tea house in Khopra for the night.

Day 7

After breakfast, we start our descent from Khopra to Swanta. The trek takes us through lush forests of rhododendrons and oaks, providing a different perspective on the landscape we’ve traversed. Along the way, you will encounter traditional water mills and experience the hospitality of the local villagers in Swanta. The serene environment and the cultural richness of the village make this part of the trek particularly enjoyable. We will stay overnight in a tea house in Swanta, where you can relax and soak in the local atmosphere.

Day 8

Today’s trek will take us from Swanta to Ghorepani. The trail passes through terraced farmland and lush forests of rhododendrons and magnolia, providing a scenic journey. As we approach Ghorepani, the views of the surrounding mountains become more expansive and impressive. Ghorepani is a lively village known for its stunning views and friendly atmosphere. We will stay in a tea house in Ghorepani, preparing for the next day’s early morning adventure.

Day 9

We begin the day with an early morning hike to Poonhill to witness the spectacular sunrise over the Himalayas. Poonhill is renowned for its panoramic views, offering one of the best vantage points in the region. After enjoying the sunrise and taking in the breathtaking views, we will return to Ghorepani for breakfast. From there, we continue our trek to Ulleri, passing through lush forests and scenic trails. Ulleri is a charming village where we will spend the night in a tea house, reflecting on the day’s experiences.

Day 10

After breakfast, we drive from Ulleri back to Pokhara. The drive takes about 2-3 hours and provides a relaxing end to our trekking adventure. As we return to Pokhara, you will have time to explore the town, visit local shops, or simply unwind by the lakeside. The serene environment of Pokhara offers a perfect setting to reflect on your trekking journey. We will spend the night at Backpackers in Pokhara.

Day 11

We will drive back to Kathmandu today, retracing our route from Pokhara. This journey offers a final opportunity to enjoy the scenic landscapes and reflect on the memories made during the trek. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, you will have some free time to explore the city or prepare for your departure. Breakfast is provided on this day.
