Itinerary

Day 1

Your adventure begins with an early morning departure from Kathmandu, embarking on a scenic drive that winds through the lush foothills of the Himalayas. As you leave behind the bustling cityscape of Kathmandu Valley, the road gradually ascends, offering picturesque views of terraced fields, traditional Nepali villages, and verdant hillsides. After a journey of about 6-7 hours, you'll arrive in Pokhara, a city nestled on the shores of Phewa Lake and surrounded by the towering Annapurna range. Pokhara's serene ambiance and stunning mountain vistas welcome you, providing a perfect retreat from the bustling city life. Check into your hotel and spend the rest of the day leisurely exploring the lakeside area, where you can stroll along the lakeshore.

Day 2

Early in the morning, you'll board a short but exhilarating flight from Pokhara to Jomsom. This scenic flight offers breathtaking views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges, as well as the deep Kali Gandaki Gorge, the world's deepest gorge. Upon landing in Jomsom, located at an altitude of about 2,700 metres, you'll find yourself in a starkly beautiful landscape surrounded by barren hills and towering peaks. Jomsom is a major hub for trekkers heading to Upper Mustang and a culturally rich area inhabited by Thakali people. Spend the day exploring the town, visiting local monasteries, and soaking in the unique blend of Tibetan and Nepali cultures.

Day 3

Today, you'll embark on a memorable journey to Muktinath, a sacred pilgrimage site revered by both Hindus and Buddhists. The drive from Jomsom to Muktinath takes you through rugged terrain and traditional Mustang villages, offering glimpses into the ancient Trans-Himalayan culture. Muktinath Temple, situated at an altitude of about 3,800 metres, is a place of spiritual significance and natural beauty. Surrounded by snow-capped peaks, including Nilgiri and Dhaulagiri, the temple complex features 108 waterspouts and a natural gas flame that is said to burn continuously. After exploring Muktinath and paying homage at the temple, you'll descend towards Tatopani. Famous for its natural hot springs, Tatopani offers a relaxing respite amidst lush greenery and the soothing sounds of the Kali Gandaki River.

Day 4

After a leisurely morning in Tatopani, surrounded by the tranquil beauty of the natural hot springs, you'll begin your journey back to Pokhara. The scenic drive retraces your route through picturesque landscapes, terraced fields, and quaint villages. Upon returning to Pokhara, you'll have the afternoon to go on a sightseeing tour of this charming lakeside city. In the evening visit the World Peace Pagoda, a Buddhist stupa offering panoramic views of the Pokhara Valley and the Annapurna range, providing a serene and reflective end to your journey.

Day 5

Your final day begins with a scenic drive back to Kathmandu, taking approximately 6-7 hours along the Prithvi Highway. As you bid farewell to Pokhara and its serene lakeside charm, reflect on the memories of your journey through Nepal's western region, from the cultural richness of Pokhara to the spiritual significance of Muktinath. The drive offers glimpses of rural life, terraced fields, and distant Himalayan peaks, providing a fitting conclusion to your adventure.
